Skypull development started in 2013. After initial design studies and IP rights protection, key personnel with experience in renewable energy and aerospace sector were brought in to transform an idea into a promising entrepreneurial initiative. The core team set up a partnership network with multiple companies and suppliers in order to manufacture and bring Skypull to the market.
Climate change is a global threat that requires global action. The transition to a more sustainable energy supply is an absolutely necessary step. Current renewable energy sources can still not compete with fossil fuels in term of costs and continuity of supply.
Wind turbines are operated profitably only in very few limited locations around the world due to their high cost for turbine and installation being economical only in locations with good winds at reasonable height.
Skypull aims at realizing an efficient, reliable, resilient and scalable system, able to exploit the winds between 200 and 800 m above the ground and to produce low cost electricity from more energetic winds in almost any location on the globe.
The Skypull team is composed of experienced managers and highly motivated collaborators that have complementary skills and knowledge in R&D, engineering, flight testing, management, operations and finance.
Our industry backgrounds include aerospace (manned and unmanned aerial vehicles), energy (in particular AWE and traditional wind energy), architecture, construction and power electronics.
